About the project
Client's goal was to introduce a web based platform designed to manage and operate a vast variety of incentive vehicles (i.e options) often given to employees.
The application should enable fully automated administration of incentive plans, under regulatory restrictions and according to different company's policy.
In addition to a user friendly, flexible and modern application, Puzzlehead was addressed to produce an innovative market demo with "wow effect" and the qualities of learnability and ease of use.
Research Phase
To maximize the system understanding, 3 research techniques were used in combine: user's task analysis, object-action analysis, and sub-tasks-per roll analysis which aimed to reveal the most important and frequent tasks. In addition, 3 general self-care approaches were presented in order to have a basic sense of customer's taste.
UI Concept
Our goal was to create a user friendly market demo which highlights both the easy quality of the application and has a "wow effect", action-motivating design.
As specified by the customer, the user's home page should hold an index of graphical incentive vehicles, personal and general financial information, messages, and some commercial materials.
Our solution was to emphasize the user main task - monitor his incentive's vehicles - and to differentiate it from all other information by both graphical presentation and the allocation of most page asset. The rest of the information was grouped and could be presented according to the user preferences.

Detailed design
The stage of detailed design included going deeper into details while trying to achieve the desirable experience for the user and emphasized the importance of using the right terminology. Every chosen word and term had to be both precise professionally wise and to be comprehensible for the user.
Graphic design
Our studio developed 2 very different design options based on 2 different metaphors, "money" and "ecology" to choose from. The "ecological" option was chosen and based on it we designed the rest of the demo's screens.
